Recently, SMC Asia Gas Systems Chengdu Co., Ltd. ("SMC") successfully won the bid for an Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project at a Xinjiang oilfield, relying on customized technical solutions and excellent adaptability to extreme environments. The company will supply core nitrogen generation equipment and full-life-cycle services, supporting green and efficient oilfield development with high-performance gear resistant to extreme temperatures, sandstorms, rain, and snow.
As a key technology for mid-to-late oilfield development efficiency, nitrogen flooding injects high-purity nitrogen to supplement formation pressure and improve crude oil fluidity, activating residual oil in low-permeability, high-water-cut reservoirs. The nitrogen generator, tailor-made for Xinjiang's harsh conditions (–32℃ to +45℃ temperature range, high sandstorms, high altitude), adopts advanced PSA technology to stably produce 2500 Nm³/h industrial nitrogen with 99.5% purity, meeting EOR strict gas quality requirements.
Key upgrades include: containerized sealed protection (dust/water resistance); insulated pipelines with heat tracing, low-temperature-resistant seals, and special lubricants (anti-freezing/brittleness); optimized heat dissipation/ventilation (stable high-temperature performance); and integrated remote monitoring/intelligent adjustment (adapting to remote oilfield operations). The equipment will boost oil recovery and reduce carbon emissions via energy-efficient designs, aligning with the industry’s green transition.
With rich experience in extreme-environment equipment R&D for oil and gas, petrochemical, and marine sectors, SMC's bid win highlights its technical strength. SMC will continue to innovate in nitrogen generation technology (weather resistance, intelligence, low carbonization).
